Hillhead Dandy Supreme Blonde Champion at Balmoral 2010

Following a busy and successful weekend in Carlisle, we headed to Balmoral with eight entries in the Blonde, Limousin and British Blue Breeds.

Hillhead Blondes We had three entries within the Blonde Breed and were awarded the following placements from Judge Mr David Grant from the Ardmore herd from Aberdeenshire.

1st Senior Bull Hillhead Dandy a 26 month bull out of Hillhead Alison and sired by our previous Balmoral breed Champion Hillhead Clint. Dandy went on to take Male Champion and to complete is outing he was awarded the Supreme Blonde Championship.

Hillhead Estelle took 2nd place in a strong class of nine heifers, she is the first daughter to be shown at the RUAS out of our French Bull Sauveur.

Hillhead Cinderella took 2nd place in the cow class with her three week old calf Flower at foot.

The Hillhead Herd has now obtained 15 Royal Blonde Breed Championships!

Draperhill Limousins

Four entries from our herd who all obtained prizes, the highlight was Draperhill Davina who attained 1st place in her very strong class, this heifer is sired by our French Bred stock bull Soldat.

Emma and Martin Jnr looked after our one entry in the Blue section, Draperhill Delilah attained 2nd place only beaten in her class by this years Res breed champion. Delilah was picked to represent the breed in the pairs interbreed Championship.
